January 16-19 PLUS important dates for ACCESS Testing!

Hi Grizzlies!

We are in full swing back at school! Last week we started our unit on "Rights" and focused on student rights at school. This week we are focused on American right, and next week we will finish up with human rights around the world!

Some of our main objectives this unit are:

1) Identifying main idea in non-fiction
2) Identifying supporting details in non-fiction
3) Vocabulary
4) The present perfect tense (Ex. I have played basketball for 10 years)
5) Constructing a 5 paragraph essay
6) Perfecting our RACE responses

PLEASE note the upcoming dates for ACCESS testing!

January 29th, 30th, February 1st, 2nd (plus one make-up day February 5th).

PLEASE try and make sure your child attends school on these days!
We will test one domain each day IN CLASS so as not to disrupt the rest of the school day.
